I minted the first NFT on Coinbase‘s L2 Base blockchain yesterday.

The future of blockchain adoption is multi-chain with how multiple L1s, L2s, Side Chains, and zk rollups are springing up.

This was already the case for private blockchain networks as I found out when writing my dissertation on blockchain adoption in the food supply chain 3 years ago.

I believe we are entering an era quite similar to social media platforms. I also wrote about NFTs a few years ago.

Now I can see how far ahead Bolaji Akinboro was thinking when he discussed building ToroNet, a Layer 1 blockchain billed as the world’s first Layer 1 blockchain designed to power the tokenized economies of the Global South.

I had a chat with my blockchain lecturer, dissertation supervisor and emerging digital technologies maestro, Saverio Romeo about all these a few days ago.

Provenance, ownership and trust are 3 important features of blockchain technology. Now that AI has taken off, blockchain will become much more relevant and important. @Fox’s news Verify tool is an example of this – https://lnkd.in/eVwE6U-7
