Have you seen heartbreaking videos on social media of people experiencing loneliness – mostly after moving to a different country?
It is not just people migrating that experience this. You could be among other people, be in a great community, be doing the things you love to do and still feel alone.
Irrespective of the cause, I just want to whisper to you that you’re never alone.
That’s a fact and the truth!
When you are going through it, however, it can be hard to believe.
Jacob ran away from home after the incident with his brother, Esau, to live with his uncle.
It was a lonely journey.
On the way, he had a dream where the Lord appeared and spoke to him:
“Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.” (Genesis 28:15)
This is God’s promise to you. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5b)
When Jacob woke up, here’s what he said:
“…Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.” (Genesis 28:16)
Is that you too?
Look around you. The Lord is with you. He is in your room, in your marriage, in your children’s life, in your business, in your work.
He is there with you.
Tasha shares her testimony in the song below (6m:40sec mark)
I stumbled on it a few days ago. Guess what? It’s on repeat and a reminder that you’re never alone.
God is with you!
And in you!
And before you!
And behind you!
And all around you!
AMEN!
