Can we skip to the good part?

Ibuku Onitiju Graduation

Here’s the good part!

Feeling fly during my graduation ceremony this week.

I guess everyone knew who the real graduand was :). Can you spot her?

I wished our kids would witness this graduation but that became impossible due to COVID but God had other plans. Thanks be to God for making this dream a reality. They loved it.

MSc Business Innovation with eBusiness and a dissertation focused on Blockchain Adoption in the Food supply chain in West Africa. Boom!

Let’s skip to another good part.

I got a job a few months ago managing media sales (digital, OOH, print) for Ethiopian Airlines at one of the largest Travel Media companies in the world.

HURRAY!

It’s another new experience (1st time working in Travel) but like in my previous roles, I continue to build deep and wide expertise in marketing by helping brands reach the right audience using digital technology.

So if your business needs the attention of business leaders, Pan-African customers or people with purchasing power connecting with Africa and globally, we can help you make it happen. Ethiopian Airlines flies 14 million passengers yearly to 127+ cities globally and 77 cities in Africa.

I’ll do my best to advise, strategise, and ultimately let you know how we can help you achieve your business goals.

Everything in between

Everything in between the good parts resembles hills and valleys. Joseph’s life looked like this.

Ref: George’s Journal

But this is how the story was told in Psalm 105 vs 17-25.

Then he sent someone to Egypt ahead of them— Joseph, who was sold as a slave.

They bruised his feet with fetters and placed his neck in an iron collar. Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the LORD tested Joseph’s character. Then Pharaoh sent for him and set him free; the ruler of the nation opened his prison door. Joseph was put in charge of all the king’s household; he became ruler over all the king’s possessions. He could instruct the king’s aides as he pleased and teach the king’s advisers. Then Israel arrived in Egypt; Jacob lived as a foreigner in the land of Ham. And the LORD multiplied the people of Israel until they became too mighty for their enemies. Then he turned the Egyptians against the Israelites, and they plotted against the LORD’s servants.

I’ve continued to see how access to unfiltered information on social media distorts reality.

If you are tempted to run someone else’s race (which happens to all of us), call the person up and ask them to give you the full gist about their race.

Say no when they say ‘can we skip to the good part?’

Maybe you’ll have a change of mind, be more appreciative of your life and race, or be humble to learn and get the information you need to succeed.

The pull to live up to others’ expectations can be strong. Stay focused and run your race.

  1. I loved even more than you could possibly be able to accomplish right here. Despite the fact that the language is stylish and the overall appearance is appealing, there is something odd about the manner that you write that makes me think that you ought to be careful about what you say in the future. In the event that you safeguard this hike, I will most certainly return on multiple occasions.
